Lori began her career as a psychologist and neuroscientist working within the academic arena. She held positions as a professor at both University of Connecticut (Departments of Psychology and Physiology & Neurobiology) and SUNY at Buffalo (Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience), where she provided educational opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students through her roles as a lecturer and a laboratory principal investigator.
After 14 years of academic leadership, Lori shifted to a position in industry where she has enjoyed numerous roles ranging from bench scientist to clinician to business development specialist. She has worked for pharmaceutical entities (Pfizer, EMD Serono), a contract research organization (New England Research Institutes), and as a consultant to science and industry clients (Percepts).
Lori’s current day job is to drive innovation in human health through identification and acquisition of drugs, diagnostics, and devices for the Global Licensing and Business Development group at EMD Serono. She is also an author (both scientific and trade work) and guest speaker at public venues within science and education.
